About
An independent studio making media across formats.
We create and run publications, software, and video ourselves, rather than licensing a name and stepping away. That is what lets us hold very different products to a single standard.
How we started
Royal Coast Media grew out of The Olive Branch Review, a publishing platform built as a hub for readers and a community for writers. Running it showed us that an audience will still give its attention to work made with care, and that conviction became the basis for everything we have built since.
We expanded deliberately, and into places a publishing platform does not usually go. Today the studio spans a writers’ community, an iOS life-and-dynasty simulator, and a video channel — three products with almost nothing in common on the surface, made by the same small team.
What we make
The Olive Branch Review is our publishing platform and community — a hub for readers and a place for writers to publish fiction, poetry, essays, and reviews, and to enter themed writing competitions.
LegacyMGMT is a realism-first life and dynasty simulator for iOS. You live a single life — school, career, relationships, money, and real estate — and when it ends, an heir takes over and the dynasty continues. The goal is to build a fortune and a family that survive past the third generation.
The Royal Coast Media YouTube channel is where our work takes the form of video.
What connects it all
The formats differ, but the instinct behind them does not. Each project exists to make room for stories and the people who tell them — a place to publish, a life to author, a screen to watch. We would rather release fewer things and make each of them worth returning to.
